Principal Product Manager – Operations
Posted TodayConfidential search. The hiring company's name is not disclosed at this stage. iKonnect will share full details after an initial screening call.
About the company
A leading global online marketplace for pre-loved luxury and designer fashion, connecting millions of buyers and sellers worldwide with a mission to advance circular fashion and sustainability. Headquartered in Europe with a global footprint spanning offices and warehouses across multiple continents, the company combines the desirability of luxury resale with rigorous trust and authentication standards. The Ho Chi Minh City office is home to a core Engineering team operating at the heart of the platform's product development.
The role
We are looking for a Principal Product Manager – Operations to lead the Operations Product team, based in Ho Chi Minh City and reporting to the Chief Product Officer. This is a hands-on, deep-scope individual contributor role for someone the company can trust to crack its hardest operational problems. Every purchase on the platform depends on a seamless end-to-end machine — an item listed, authenticated, published, sold, and delivered with total trust — and this is the product you will own.
The two most critical challenges you will tackle are: (1) stopping fraudulent sellers without adding friction for the honest majority, owning the strategy to detect bad actors early and defend the platform's authentication promise — increasingly through AI; and (2) reimagining how items are captured and presented so that browsing feels as desirable as the pieces themselves, recognising that in pre-loved luxury, the image is the product.
You will define the product vision and strategy for the operations, logistics, and imagery ecosystem end to end — from listing to delivery. This includes seller trust and fraud prevention systems, buyer-facing imagery and item presentation, and the AI agenda for operations, covering fraud detection, imagery generation and enhancement, catalogue quality, and operational throughput. You will own measurable outcomes including fraud and dispute rates, authentication quality, time-to-publish, listing conversion, and their connection to NPS.
You will partner closely with Engineering on systems architecture that scales with international growth, and foster a culture of continuous discovery — testing against value, usability, feasibility, and viability risks, and cutting ideas that do not earn their place.
What we're looking for
• 8+ years in product management, with deep experience in operations, logistics, trust & safety, or marketplace products — ideally in e-commerce or a two-sided platform
• Proven track record owning complex, end-to-end product strategies and being accountable for outcomes, not feature output
• Experience tackling problems such as fraud, trust & safety, or content/imagery at scale — or strong motivation to take on these challenges
• Experience using AI or automation to make operational or customer-facing products meaningfully better
• Ability to operate at Principal level through influence — aligning engineers, designers, data scientists, and operators around a strategy without direct management authority
• Strong data-informed decision-making skills and the ability to communicate complex trade-offs clearly to any audience
• Comfort working in close proximity to Engineering and real operations — preferring to be near the work rather than removed from it
• Thrives in a fast, test-and-learn environment
• Bilingual in English (additional language proficiency a plus)
What we offer
• A rare opportunity to own two of the most important, unsolved product challenges at a world-leading platform — trust and desirability
• Close proximity to the Engineering team in Ho Chi Minh City — ship fast, learn fast, build together
• The chance to shape how AI transforms authentication, fraud prevention, and product imagery at scale
• An international, fast-paced, mission-driven team working toward a more sustainable fashion industry
• Competitive salary and performance bonus
• Meaningful work with real impact on how people consume fashion and promote sustainability
• Two dedicated volunteer days per year to support charitable or activist causes of your choice
• Significant investment in your personal learning and professional growth
• Inclusive, diverse workplace representing a wide range of nationalities and backgrounds
