Senior Golang Engineer (Backend, AWS, MySQL)

Location: HCM/Ha Noi

A leading B2B SaaS company operating in the construction tech space, with a Vietnam-based engineering hub working in cross-functional squads. The team follows an agile, squad-based model where small groups own the full lifecycle — from design and development through to testing and production operations — in a collaborative, international environment.

We are looking for a Senior Golang Engineer to join our backend engineering team and contribute to the design and development of our core product. You will work within a small, agile squad alongside product managers and designers, with exposure to a wide range of technologies and the opportunity to contribute to architectural decisions.

• Design and implement product features using Golang
• Refactor existing products toward a microservices architecture
• Collaborate with product managers and designers on requirements definition and specification formulation
• Design system architecture based on application requirements
• Measure and analyse service quality, and implement improvement measures
• Work within a cross-functional squad covering the full development lifecycle: design, development, testing, and operations

Development Environment:

• Infrastructure: AWS, GCP
• CI/CD: CircleCI, CodeBuild, GitHub Actions
• Databases: Amazon Aurora (MySQL-compatible), Elasticsearch, DynamoDB
• Configuration management: Ansible
• Deploy/Build: CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CircleCI
• IaC: Packer, Terraform
• Monitoring: Datadog, Bugsnag
• Other tools: Swagger, Docker, Figma, Slack, Jira

Must have:

• 5+ years of experience developing and operating web services using Golang, AWS, and gRPC
• Experience as a technical lead across the full project development lifecycle
• Experience developing and operating web applications using frameworks
• Experience with schema design for RDBMS and KVS, and writing optimised queries
• Knowledge of web application security
• Experience writing test code (Unit Tests)
• Good English communication skills

Nice to have:

• Experience diagnosing and resolving issues from logs
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience designing application architecture and selecting appropriate middleware
• Experience publishing or contributing to open-source software
• External technical output experience (technical writing, blog posts, conference talks, etc.)
• Context Engineering: experience providing context to AI agents, structuring codebases for AI readability, and reducing hallucinations
