Java Technical Lead

A well-established technology company specializing in software solutions for the Finance and Banking sector. The team works on large-scale enterprise projects both domestically and internationally, operating in a professional and dynamic environment with a focus on modern technology platforms.

We are seeking an experienced Java Technical Lead to join our backend engineering team. In this role, you will work closely with developers and senior leadership to guide the full project/product development lifecycle — from initial design through to delivery. You will be responsible for creating detailed program designs, high-level architecture documents, and technical solution proposals, while supporting the Project Manager in scoping, planning, and stakeholder reporting.

As the technical lead, you will delegate and track tasks across the team, oversee deployments and new releases, identify risks and define mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve technical issues by developing workarounds and alternative solutions. You will also be responsible for coaching and motivating team members, conducting technical training, and continuously improving product features and quality.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited for a senior engineer who is equally comfortable writing code and driving architectural decisions. You will play a key part in shaping system infrastructure, integration approaches, and engineering best practices across projects in the Finance and Banking domain.

• Domain knowledge/experience in Finance, Banking & Enterprise systems

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

• At least 5 years of experience in Java development on Linux/Windows platforms

• 2+ years of experience contributing to architecture and design (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems

• Strong experience with Java frameworks: Spring (Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Security), Hibernate, and Microservices

• Experience with Web Services (RESTful, SOAP) and message queue processing (ActiveMQ, IBM MQ)

• Understanding of CI/CD software development environments

• Experience with Java Application Servers and Database Servers

• Proficient in version control systems: Git, SVN

• Knowledge of integration, software architecture, and/or system infrastructure

• Ability to investigate new technologies and interest in improving and bolstering systems

• Strong leadership and organizational abilities

• Good communication, coaching, and presentation skills

• Strong job management, time management, and problem-solving skills

• Interest in tackling technical challenges and exploring new technologies

• Nice to have: Agile/Scrum experience, DevOps knowledge, security awareness, software architecture expertise
